Chicago-area homeschool students working together in class

A Christian homeschool co-op serving
K4–12th families in the Lemont area

Anchor Homeschool Co-op

Anchor brings Chicago-area homeschool families together in thoughtful partnership. Rooted in faith and shaped by decades of lived experience, we provide teacher-led classes where students grow in wisdom, confidence, and strong academics. In a structured, classroom setting, children thrive while families find encouragement, clarity, and a community that feels like home.

Who We Are

What Is Anchor

Anchor is a teacher-led Christian homeschool co-op where families do life together and children thrive in structured, teacher-led classrooms one day each week.

Families gather on Tuesdays for a full morning of classes, community, and shared meals. Kids learn in teacher-led classrooms while parents connect, volunteer, and support one another.

Intentional. Dependable. Strong.

Built by Homeschoolers
For Homeschoolers

Classes are intentionally small. Parents are welcome to stay on-site. Teachers prepare thoughtfully.

35+ Years Combined Experience

Our leadership team has walked the homeschool journey. We have taught at the kitchen table. We have navigated curriculum choices. We get it.

Teachers Who Are Friends

Handpicked for expertise, yes. But also for heart. These are people who will remember your child's name, ask about your week, and genuinely want to see your family thrive.

Curriculum Conversations Welcome

Stuck on math? Wondering about science? We love talking shop. Consider us your homeschool sounding board, not just a Tuesday class.

A Faith-Shaped Community

Anchor is shaped by a shared Christian faith, expressed not as performance but as a foundation.

It influences how we speak to one another, how we handle disagreement, how we lead, and how we serve. Faith here looks like everyday kindness, accountability, and humility.

Families from various backgrounds are welcome. We simply ask that you understand and respect the foundation we build on. If you are curious about our faith, you will find an open and welcoming community here.

Intentional. Dependable. Strong.

We Hear You

Built With You in Mind

We're homeschool parents too, and we know how much goes into showing up to something new with your family. Anchor was designed around real family life: the schedules, the little ones, the budget, the need to feel like your time matters. We want co-op to be something your family looks forward to, not something you have to manage.

So we listened, and we built accordingly.

A Refund Policy That Respects Your Family

Life happens, and we get it. We offer refunds within a reasonable window so families aren't locked into something that isn't working, while still giving teachers enough time to prepare and purchase materials.

A Nursery Space for Little Ones

We have a dedicated nursery space where babies and toddlers can be with their parents during co-op hours. You don't have to figure out childcare to be here.

No Volunteer Deposit

Homeschool parents show up for each other. That's just how it works. Our community depends on volunteers, and we trust families to follow through and communicate. No deposit required.

Capped Class Prices by Grade Level

We believe in transparent pricing. We cap class prices by grade level so families can plan ahead, while still making sure teachers are fairly compensated for their time and preparation.

A Parent-Led Club Hour

We offer teacher-led classes throughout the day, but one hour is reserved for parent-led clubs. This is a chance for parents to share something they love with the kids, and it gives families another way to be part of the community.

Purposeful Volunteer Roles

We value your time and want every role to feel meaningful. Volunteer positions are thoughtfully assigned so that the work you do actually supports the community and doesn't feel like busywork.

Common Questions

Anchor serves students from K4 through 12th grade. Class offerings vary by semester based on student interest and teacher availability.

We set a maximum class fee of $85 to $115 per student per semester, depending on the age group, plus a co-op registration fee each semester.

We understand homeschooling families need flexibility. Missing a week is okay. We also schedule a makeup day each semester in case of full co-op cancellations.

No. You do not have to be Christian to join Anchor. We are a Christian homeschool co-op, and our faith shapes our leadership and culture. We simply ask that families understand and respect that foundation.

Not at all. The interest form simply lets us know you are exploring Anchor. We will be in touch with next steps and class details before any enrollment decisions are made.
